Micah Richards and Clint Dempsey re-enact hilarious 'you don't know where I'm from dawg' scuffle in

Micah Richards and Clint Dempsey re-enacted their on-pitch scuffle in the CBS Sports studio during a Premier League clash 16 years ago.

Richards is joined by Jamie Carragher on CBS Sports to cover Champions League matches, usually with Thierry Henry, but they were joined by ex-Premier League icon Dempsey this week.

The former United States international was renowned for his stints at Fulham and Tottenham and became embroiled in a fracas during a Premier League match against Manchester City while with the Cottagers.

Playing for City at the time was Richards and the two had a coming-together where they squared up to one another in 2007.

Egged on by Carragher, the two re-enacted the melee, which included the two placing their heads together in the studio.

Richards could be heard saying: "You don't want this! You know what time it is!"

Carragher jumped in for his mate, telling Dempsey: "You [Richards] won the header, what's your [Dempsey] problem?"

Dempsey replied: "I beat him for the header!"

The Liverpool legend insisted: "No, you never!"

With the clip of Richards and Dempsey clashing playing in the background, the ex-City star said while mimicking his American accent: " Basically, he said 'you don't know where I'm from dawg!'

Carragher followed suit and mockingly asked: "Where are you from, dawg?!"

Dempsey stood his ground and replied: "I'm from the oldest town in Texas, I'm from Nacogdoches!"

After being asked what did he reply, Richards said: "I said I'm from Chapeltown [Leeds]!" before bursting into laughter.

Dempsey was in his first season in the Premier League at the time, having signed for Fulham from New England Revolution.

The forward spent five years at Craven Cottage before joining Tottenham in 2012, where he spent one season.

Richards, meanwhile, came up through the academy at City, where he joined in 2001 and spent 14 years with the club before joining Aston Villa in 2015.
